Queens Council on the Arts

A former industrial warehouse was converted to accommodate both the public programming and the behind-the-scenes administrative operations of a local non-profit organization. The existing facade was modified with the addition of a new storefront window and wayfinding canopy, including an accessible entry vestibule.

Inside, a custom system of folding partitions allows the open floor plan to be adapted to diverse uses ranging from galleries and performance spaces to meeting rooms. The scope of the renovation also included both open and private office spaces, a pantry, restrooms, and storage.
